Building houses during the rainy season in Oregon increases the risk of developing mold issues in the future. This is especially true when OSB products are used and exposed to water.

We are often called on to collect samples of suspect mold and discolorations on wood, or other surfaces which might send up a red flag to potential buyers.  The discoloration can be tested to confirm whether it is mold growth, and is something needs to be addressed before the project continues.

This type of mold inspection and testing allows the builder to provide the buyer with documentation that proper steps were followed during construction to ensure a mold and fungus free home.
