Many mold related issues are a result of certain construction practices and the types of materials used.

We are available during the course of construction to discuss potential problems and answer questions regarding mold growth in the construction process.

Building houses during the rainy season in Oregon increases the risk of developing mold issues in the future. This is especially true when oriented strand board (OSB) products are used and exposed to water.

We are often called to collect samples of suspect mold growth, discolorations on wood, or other surfaces which might send up a red flag to potential buyers during the inspection period.  The discoloration can be tested to confirm whether it is mold growth, and is something needs to be addressed via remediation before the project continues.

This type of mold inspection and testing allows the builder to provide the buyer with documentation that proper steps were followed during construction to ensure a mold and fungus free home.
